Getting started in magic.

A young magician emailed me a few weeks ago and asked me how he could get a good start in magic. I told him that books are the best way. The following is a list of books that I recommend for anyone starting out in magic. They are all available from Amazon. I sure Easons and O’Mahony’s website would have them too.

Klutz:Book of Magic [Spiral-Bound]

Mark Wilson’s Complete Course in Magic

Self-working Card Tricks: 72 Foolproof Card Miracles for the Amateur Magician

Self-working Table Magic: 97 Foolproof Tricks with Everyday Objects

Modern Coin Magic: 116 Coin Sleights and 236 Coin Tricks

There are only three rules when it comes to performing good magic and they are:

1. Practice

2. Practice

3. Practice

After that get out and enjoy the magic of magic.
